What is SaaS?

RICS Enterprise is a hosted, fully-managed software product that is delivered via the Software as a Service (SaaS) method. Software as a Service is a real-time solution that provides retailers a strategic advantage of rapid system scalability allowing for quick, smooth and easy growth.

As a SaaS provider, RICS Software will host the RICS Enterprise application and data centrally, deploying patches and upgrades to the software transparently. RICS Enterprise is designed to be accessible via the Internet, which significantly decreases the resources and investment needed to maintain up to date retail software.

Along with reducing the upfront hardware costs, SaaS is priced at a monthly subscription fee instead of requiring the retailer to pay a large license fee upfront for the software.
